That Will Do!

Saughton Gardens

I have finally bitten the bullet and self-referred to physiotherapy to sort out my right leg. I have an idea of the cause but that doesn't help make it better and the thought of being unable to take long walks is rather unappealing.

I delivered the form to the office (conveniently situated on the second floor) of the appropriate medical centre in the north of town and await a response, hopefully to attend a more accessible location.

So we continued in that area with a visit to Saughton Gardens for coffee. The cafe was quite busy and I was dismayed when someone behind us in the queue nipped over and bagged the last table, which her companion smugly assured us was 'allowed', as a result we sat at one of the sofas in the corner (see versatile table marker in the collage).

But we had the last laugh as, already on the adjoining sofa, was a delightful lady with whom we were engaged in conversation for a very long time, covering many topics from ferry services in the Western Isles to the difficulties of combining congregations after church closures.. with which we were all experienced.

We then took a turn round the gardens in the sunshine, catching more photos of the Lion Foundry bandstand and the sundial, also of an early coltsfoot flower, among others, before heading back home.
