Swedish …….?
These glasses are definitely Scandinavian - but in all honesty, I suspect they’re Danish. I’ve blipped the wine glasses before - so tiny in comparison to today’s.These are the liqueur sizes - really small. Amazingly, after over 47 years of marriage, these wedding gifts have survived as the original set of six! I love their sculptural quality, the conical bases with their individual teardrops trapped inside - but today I’m fascinated by their shadows, so I’ve photographed them from above.
It’s been another hospital visit today, seeing an anaesthetist in Liverpool. They’re concerned about my respiratory state in terms of surgery in April and I must admit I’m shocked by the results of my spirometry test which shows a worrying degree of congestion. Yes, I’m still coughing, and yes, I should have gone to my GP for antibiotics by now ….. If I don’t get this cleared in the next few weeks, surgery will have to be postponed.
As usual, a Liverpool hospital trip is compensated by a visit to see Lili who is on such good form today. I expect her to be tired and grumpy after her day in nursery, but she’s just the opposite so we spend a lovely hour in her company. Her nursery is excellent, and each day Daniel and Solveig receive a report on her activities and progress, together with photos - so impressive. She’s now really settled into this new routine and is clearly very happy.
