Bodnant
Today’s mission is to get some antibiotics, and it starts with queuing up outside the surgery at 8.00am. This allows me to register for a triage call-back, but this end up being bypassed and I actually get a face-to-face appointment - a rare occurrence. I’m prescribed both antibiotics and steroids - so hopefully things will improve soon. And thank you all for your good wishes.
Between the two trips to the surgery, there’s a walk in Bodnant Garden. Beautiful throughout the year, it’s particularly wonderful at this time of the year with spring bulbs bursting into flower, winter blossoms still in bloom, and shrubs like magnolia and azaleas in bud - though some of these have already opened and are spectacular against today’s blue sky.
Having placed Bodnant’s floral bounty into two collages, I’m actually going with a double snowdrop for today’s main. It’s one I haven’t seen before, and is apparently named Galanthus nivalis f. pleniflorus 'Blewbury Tart'. Not the showiest of today’s flowers, but I just love its markings.
