Northern Blackback gull

I did very little today, except sit in front of the computer... so it was very, very, nearly a blip of the lovely herring we had for tea :/
At one point this evening, though, I looked out of the window and saw a decent looking sunset. By the time I had got my shoes on and had got out the door, the dramatic clouds to the east, painted by a crimson sun, had lost their lustre; no blip :(
Then, walking back, I saw the chimneys and gull silhouetted against the western sky :D
