Tide going out
Today we went to the beach just after high tide. We can't walk between the two beaches but we were able to walk all the way to the rocks which divide the beaches and the pictures were taken from there - two closer and one further back. You can just make out the spire of the cathedral in the distance.
It wasn't too cold, even though it was windy and the sea was whipped up quite a bit, but there weren't many surfers out today which seems odd given how windy and how much surf there was.
The dog had a wonderful time and ran around like there was no tomorrow - he is the "CGV" - chien de grande vitesse. He loves being able to run free and sniff things.
We borrowed a circular saw to cut a nice piece of plywood to make a window sill today. We spent ages marking out and preparing the cuts - the angles were awkward - then it was all done in a few seconds. Wonderful things circular saws - even if they do scare the willies off me. After the cut a little bit of filing was required - the walls aren't as straight as the cuts were, but it fitted quite well.
