GIGGLING SQUIRREL

“TeeHeHe! You’ll never guess what I just did!“

This pudgy squirrel looks like he’s having a sneaky little giggle about getting away with something. And you thought squirrels had no sense of humor! He was thoroughly enjoying a feast of maple tree spinners when I caught this shot with his mouth open. Do you think those could be his teeth? He sat there eating so long that I had a great opportunity for several shots, but this one was exceptional. Since no teeth show in any other pictures, I suppose it could be a mouthful of munchies that just appear to be teeth. Anyway, it makes a funny blip!

No birds on the new feeder today. Although people go to great lengths to keep squirrels from their bird feeders, I’d be happy if this little guy would get interested in it – then maybe the birds would catch on. (I know: Be careful what I wish for!)
