This afternoon, all the cafe staff attended a final meeting as part of our consultation process. There was some sadness afterwards, so some of us went for a drink and a chat. We have bonded well as a team for years, but so far as I can remember, this is the first time we have socialised outside of work. There was laughter, and hugs, and promises to keep in touch. We still don’t know who will stay and who will go. I just feel privileged to have worked with such lovely people.
