A Blue Off the Boulder

Sometimes I get in a rut down here of shooting shorebirds that are of the begging variety. But not this guy. He/she was working it, searching for minnows in the shallow water. After not doing much catching, the heron flew off.

We took supper over to my brother's house tonight, and then played 2 games of Pepper...a euchre-like card game. For the first time in 3-4 years, Lisa and I actually won a game, sending Jim and Joy down to defeat, In game two, they took the defeat badly, and REALLY trounced us...sending us home as losers.
