Tools of the Trade

The snow is just starting, and it will be a messy 3-5 inches with rain mixing in this afternoon, so I am retreating to the studio for a bit.  Just a small sampling of the various tools I have.  As dad would say, "there is a proper tool for every job."  He had a huge collection of tools of every type, from hand tools to power tools.  He taught me how to use a hammer and would give me small scraps of wood to build things with.  I am grateful for my early construction training with my grandpa too.  Together we built a treehouse in an old apple tree.  He did most of the work of course but he let me do what I could.  "As the twig is bent, so grows the tree."
