Lichen

I'm fascinated by looking at lichen, I don't have any knowledge at all, I just like the beauty of them, the colours, shapes and variety. Some of them are also very old, not to mention the surface they grow on. This particular rock i one that I pass every day on my walk, today I stopped and had a closer look. This rock isn't in any way unique, most of the rocks in this stone-wall is one of thousands and they all look more or less the same, regarding the amount of growth. 

Spring is absolutely here to stay, we expect no longer periods of cold weather. Wonderful.
