Golden Penda

Where I go to drumming has these Golden Pendas as street trees.  The blossoms are amazing and they are always full of birds and bees.  I stopped and picked some blossoms and brought them back home to blip.  They are a member of the myrtle family and come from North East Queensland.  A rainforest tree but they are doing extremely well here.

Xanthostemon chrysanthus if you want the correct name.  And did you know it is the floral emblem of Cairns!  I bet you didn't know that.

Thanks for hosting Anni.
