Busy keeping busy

Ben was a bit off
today, so we had to keep
him busy. Big job!

Ben was anxious this morning, you can tell because he does this thing where he tries to fill any gaps with something random.  We didn't have a solid plan for the day, as it was one of the few days when we didn't have anything specific to do but as soon as Ben was awake he was saying things like, 'can I buy a new bed?'  Alarm bells started ringing for me, so we kicked into mega planning mode and designed a day where he wouldn't have gaps to fill.  We did some baking, went through a car wash, did a crossword, went to the woods (see photo- no coat- yay March*) and tried with minimal success to go to Homebase and Wickes for wallpaper.. when we arrived we found that Homebase had closed down(!) and Wickes doesn't sell wallpaper! But it kept us busy, so the outcome was actually secondary!  Nearly bedtime now and I think we managed to keep the day under control, so Go Us.
*obviously I was still wearing a coat :-D
