Tracks into the sea.
A large sand dune construction and general restoration project is being undertaken at the West Sands up at Outhead.
Tracked excavators and large trucks are working tidal shifts, winning sand from out at the point during the low spring tide. I read somewhere that the trucks are on something like a three minute turnaround. They’re working day and night, making the most of the very low tides just now.
Photograph taken towards high tide (obviously no work on just now!). Blue sky and cold. We were well wrapped up.
Later this afternoon we’d a walk locally. And my wife made progress with a new jigsaw.
