Ice Blocks And Leaves
Wind gusts nearing 30mph made it difficult to get a steady shot today. Driving home, the sky had been full of fluffy white clouds. Not so when I finally arrived.
Instead, I tried to capture the ice pools which had some nice ripples in them, but I couldn't get my shutter high enough for a sharp image.
I finally resorted to studying these ice blocks which had broken off and blown in to the shore. I had to get my timing right because they only stood out brilliant white when the water underneath flowed out. Another step in the evolution of lake ice.
