Gateway Clearing

It was a working party session in the Drying Ground today and Tony and I went up in the morning to do a couple of hours.  Neighbour J joined us and he and I started on the remaining bramble patch whilst Tony set to on further clearing the gateway, a tough job because roots from the nearby trees have ingressed.

As I left at lunchtime, neighbour S arrived to take over the brambles.  We shall soon be clear to prepare the area cleared for wildflowers for sowing and to organise our Children's Day building the bug hotel.

After lunch I walked down to the village to join several Hobbler pals for a local walk and catch up which took us over the moor and into the Estate and to the cafe for cake.
