Birthday balloons

The eldest daughter of some close friends will be 21 next week. I’ve known her since she was a toddler, and had planned to travel to her birthday party. But with the op, have decided that it’s not sensible. So I was looking for a card, but can’t find anything I really like (I’m fussy like that!). So I decided that I would paint one. So started some preparatory sketches of balloons this afternoon. A good gentle activity!

My arm’s a little swollen and very stiff, so did get the nurse to check it out this morning. She felt it was expected bruising rather than anything to worry about, and so I was reassured. Booked another appointment for Friday to change dressings etc.
