Stop! Thief!

We booked two extra nights at the Crowne Plaza so that The Man and I could have a nice day together visiting Fairburn Ings, an RSPB site 40 minutes drive away.

Well the day began badly with me vomiting again, no way was I fit to go out for the day. The Man refused to go on his own. We rested all morning in the hotel, me sleeping quite a lot. 

Mid afternoon I felt well enough for a ride out to Stavely Nature Reserve again to see if the barn owls would be out. We had a sit in the neer hide keeping a look-out. When I spotted it we went back to field near the car park. The story behind this shot is that there is a kestrel who waits for the barn owl to make a catch then steals its prey. We had seen this altercation on Monday but hadn't good shots of it.

On the way back we stopped at a village pub but I could only eat a quarter of my meal, but it was nice.
