On the Line

Sunday turned out to be far less busy. Sunny, clear blue skies and relatively mild all day… not quite warm enough for barbecue weather, but it’s not far off. We had a pretty mellow day at home with everybody just pottering about. I took a few photographs around the place during the day, but this was my favourite. I noticed the translucent clothes pegs on the washing line, backlit by the evening sky and shining almost like a row of Christmas decorations. I used the dark outlines of the nearby houses to frame the composition and ensured the pegs were in sharp focus while letting the background blur slightly.
