Mourning Dove

We had another unencumbered day. Kristen sold her camper; we reaped the benefits by becoming the owners of extra bed linens, misc knick knacks, etc. I washed all the linens plus another load of whites. While doing dishes, a pair of doves visited. I tried to get a better light setting but failed. The birds more often than not turn their face out so they can be vigilant of the local hawks. Part of my day was spent listening to a mother and then separately to a teenage grandchild and coaching them to find common ground they can agree on. The whole crew has called me day and night over the years looking for advice. My largest challenges are remaining neutral and listening more than speaking. I let The Holy Spirit guide me. And more often than not, the issue is so minor in the grand scheme of things. But to them it is huge and I never diminish their concerns. Within a day or two, all’s well with the world. Just hope I can continue to bat 1,000! Hubby renewed our satellite radio subscription which took almost as long as my motherly advice sessions. He negotiated our contract to just a few cents more each month. We were both ready for a nap. Dinner is made so the evening is ours. Wishing you Divine inspiration when it’s needed. Stay safe. Thanks for dropping by. “Listen, sweet dove, unto my song, and spread thy golden wings in me; hatching my tender heart so long, till it gets wings, and fly away with thee.” ~ George Herbert
