Todays photo was taken in Chalk Vale where we walk regularly and the sloping landscape and tilting light is just made for photography!  I have blipped it many times ( and no doubt many more to come ! ) Such a lovely walk in warm temperatures ( though not as warm as I thought .. felt a bit nippy when we stopped for the obligatory cheese sarnie and flask of coffee ) 

What a privilege it is to be retired.  It wasn’t that long ago that my weekends were crammed with marking and chores. Even when the weather was as lovely as it has been today, I often felt I “ didn’t have time “ for a walk and if I did , I couldn’t zone out and really enjoy it. Still pinching myself that my working life is over ….though the back at work dreams/nightmares are still happening….

Spent today beginning my deep clean of the conservatory . I am a dreadful perfectionist so at this rate I think I might be at this all week!  But again, that is the privilege of retirement…. whatever I do, I choose to do it and I have all the time in the world to do it in….
