Ely Christmas Meal

Myself, G&M and M&M met up today at Ely for our third attempt at a 'xmas meal' at the Old Fire Engine House at Ely. I arrived early and went for a walk round the outside of the cathedral and down to the river and back, another glorious day with lovely blue skies. Lots of other people had also decided to spend a day in Ely and I was the only one of the three cars to park in our usual car park, one couple had to try three before finding a space. It was so nice to see people out enjoying the sun and in lighter clothing. The meal was lovely as always, I had beef and mushroom pie and whilst pancakes were on the menu for a dessert, most of us chose bakewell tart and ice cream (or cream). It was a good drive both ways, but the potholes are getting quite shocking. 14C on the drive back. So nice to catch up with friends.
