Sunset and Carnivalesque

This morning I went into Plymouth to see one of the exhibitions at the Box, Plymouth's Museum and Art Gallery. The exhibition is titled .Carnivalesque and features a series of works by the artist John Lyons. The Box website states:
"Carnivalesque features John Lyons' dynamic, expressive works and explores the folklore and mythology of Trinidad and Tobago, in particular the large colourful carnival that takes place there just before Ash Wednesday every year. Mysterious figures mingle with symbols and motifs including the mythical ‘jumbie bird’. Vibrant scenes are laced with uncertainty as you're invited to take a journey into Lyons' world."
A photo of one of his works is shown in the extra.
Todays main image is the sunset this evening from our upstairs window.
