A day in the life

Music school performance

I did go to work at the theatre today, felt better in the morning and I think these shows where the local music-school teachers plays for the 7-9 year old kids is fun. That audience has quite another conception of "art" and "culture" than a grown up audience has. They react directly and scream out loud when they are triggered by the mean "Captain" in the play, when he's cruel to the animals and despose plastic in the ocean. They have also been taught some songs during classroom visits, when the music-teachers visit the kids in their attempt to interest them to take up an instrument. They sing the songs in the show together with, and accompanied by the professional teachers/musicians and it's wonderful to hear them singing their hearts out. So, I didn't want to miss hearing that but I was rather weak. Still, I don't think they noticed much.

Tomorrow I'm recording the vocal parts to the  Shakespeare songs my friend Johan performed in his theatre during February. On Thursday it's time for another show like today, I think it's going to be fine.
