Carrying on Regardless

Cosy in bed it was honestly a bit of a struggle getting up so early to be in the right place at the right time when the blue light started to show this morning as the sunrise is getting earlier and earlier.  Armed with both tea and coffee - I really felt I needed a caffeine overdose - I drove up to the hills. Though not as cold by any means as it had been all week, I wasn't giving up my thermals just yet.

I took this shot on the way home after seeing a female barn owl  just sitting on a post as I drove by. People were starting to use the road at that time in the morning but I found a turning point, went for it, drove back and slowly sidled onto a track whilst dropping a window. She knew I was there, gave me a stare and carried on hunting. Great to see.
