Jacana

We've been to Stow this afternoon for dental appointments - both of us had fillings. Don't ask about the cost.

Mrsfb went first so I went off to get a Wide Wednesday blip with some strong colours. I wasn't hopeful of finding any in Stow though, apart from cars maybe, but I got a couple of contenders, with my new fish-eye lens again.

I didn't realise until I looked it up that a jacana is a bird, and there were a couple of them, birds not jacanas, outside this shop, in the strong colours that I was after.

In the extra, a random flag, from some random country that hasn't fought a war in 30 or 40 years. I'd got interrogated by the dentist, nurse and receptionist when I got back to the surgery, as mrsfb had explained I was a photographer etc etc. I explained about blipfoto and said I'd got a random flag etc but they didn't really understand. Oh well, I hope somebody gets the topical reference.
