Crocus Central
While the crocuses here in the Rhine valley are starting to look tired, the ones in my mother’s garden are at their best now. Some 50 years ago, my mother planted crocus bulbs all around the lawn. By now, they have spread all over the place, and the garden looks like one huge flower bed. In today’s sunshine, the bees were busy collecting the bounty of nectar and pollen.
I spent all morning with my mother at her GP‘s for a thorough check-up (and lots of waiting). Just like last time, the GP was happy to report that physically, my mother is doing well. Cognitively, it’s a different story, but nothing the doctors can fix.
In the afternoon, I welcomed the chance for a walk in the sunshine with my friend B. It was warm enough to walk without jackets, for the first time this year.
