Cracking on
Typical - it’s been a beautiful warm sunny day and I couldn’t take advantage of it.
We went to Morpeth for my optician appointment at 10. I took the hospital letter which expressed concern as pressure was 25 in both eyes. However his reading was 20 today and that was the same as last time he did it. That’s a relief - I just hope RVI is happy with me next time I go.
Then it was a wet cut at Laura £29. Great to be grey!
Meanwhile Mr C went to Heighley (Expensive) Gate which used to be Dobbies and is under new ownership and just reopened. He got the last 3 bags of seed potatoes.
Home for an avocado salad then I walked down the hill to Art Appreciation. Geoff presented Art in Confinement. There’s an exhibition on at the Baltic showing work done by prisoners and also by people in mental health institutions. Some of it was powerful stuff.
The men have been cracking on with getting the roof on the conservatory. Cracking being the word - one window got broken so a replacement is ordered. It looks a lot lighter with glass compared with the previous Perspex-type roof.
We are going out to eat at Lynne and Gavin’s tonight. They are so kind as our house is a tip with all the conservatory furniture stacked up.
We have had bad news. Luke’s Dad has gone to a hospice and I mostly sleeping now. It’s really tragic as his wife is in isolation waiting to have a stem cell transplant. His daughters and sisters are with him
