Temperatures have dropped
and the wind has come up, so
it's cool and dusty

I heard the wind through the night rattling whatever it could find untethered. The local radio gave the wind advisory and warned listeners to anchor whatever might fly away such as garbage bins and trampolines. I took note of the dust in the air as I headed out at 9 in search of storage containers.

I got a few shots of the hazy mountains to the east as I drove along to Hwy 95. I stopped on the shoulder of the highway to see the agricultural workers in the fields. They come prepared for all weather. The repurposed school buses are their transportation from Mexico and  each bus pulls a trailer for portable toilets and wash stations.

I made quick work finding my containers in the craft store, then cruised back to the Foothills to collect some breakfast to take home.

The mockingbird showed up on the top of my orange tree. He's singing but very restless. I got one photo and he was gone.

I'm in for the day. My sewing machine and my radio will keep me company today.
