A spatter of rain
hit the windshield - but the drought
requires so much more
~carliewired
It was a chilly 10 C as I drove east to the County Road in the dark. I collected two drops of rain on my windshield and it came as a big surprise. This area has not had a drop since April last year. We are in a drought.
I parked on the shoulder of the road and watched the eastern sky over the Gila Mountains. There is considerable cloud cover this morning and a rather cold wind was blowing.
I waited and collected some shots of the progression of sunrise. Rain spattered my windshield so I had to turn on my wipers to clear it. Then I was off to fill my gas tank and pick up some breakfast before heading home.
I'm in for the day. My heater may be put into service as it feels cold to me. When we have a very unArizona day like this, I declare that I want my money back!
*** I have used an art effect from Fotor to improve my triptych.
