Aideé

Aideé is in charge of "La Fonda", an extraordinary typical mexican restaurant in Xalapa. I met her in my times as Captain Morgan. I used to work with that rum brand that has the image of a pirate on the bottle. I was Captain Morgan in Mexico. Xalapa was one of the most frequented cities and "La Fonda" was my favorite place to eat.

And so Aideé and I got started to say hello to each other. She's an extraordinary person with a big big heart. I took this photo in this trip and she remembered me very well. When the time to say, once again, goodbye came we hugged each other and she gave me a piece of cake :D Delicious!

La Fonda is one of the best mexican restaurants I've ever known. And I'm 100% mexican and a food lover. So if you ever go to Xalapa don't miss the opportunity to eat authentic mexican food in a beautiful restaurant, with a lovely staff and for an incredible price.

The place is on a quaint tiny alley called Callejón del Diamante ("Alley of the Diamond"), which is another spot to visit in Xalapa, full of people selling amazing craftwork.
