Art Work Blipmeet

This morning we went to The Old Prison in Northleach (Cotswolds) to see an exhibition of work by ceramicist Claudia Clare - very impressive indeed, and with an explanation of the processes involved in making the pieces from her sister,  all the more impressive.   The vases are made, broken apart, decorated inside and out and reassembled with windows into the interior.
Quite fascinating and the subjects are thought provoking. The blipped pieces are all on a feminist theme, others on a nature based approach.  Some of the techniques come from time she spent studying in Iran where this type of ceramic work is a big part of their history.
The Donald would most likely not approve ...  :-)

A great blipmeet organised by Fiztbilly - We were there with Mrs FZB, Hildasrose & Rob.  Well worth a visit, but be quick - the exhibition is only open for one more day.
