Squirrel Nutkin

Gill and I had a short walk round Rozelle Park in Ayr after visiting the current art exhibition in Rozelle House.

We came across this fabulous willow sculpture and two others - see extra - and twigged (pardon the pun!) that they were all characters from books: Squirrel Nutkin, Sherlock Holmes and Rupert Bear.

Further research when we got home revealed that there are in fact 11 different storybook sculptures around the park. A good excuse for another visit.
