Key Summit

So many beautiful views - But you’ve got me in the way.
After a chilly night at the campsite, we woke to a frost outside! Brrr. Many of our fellow campers were up and away early to head down Milford Sound. We took a while to defrost and then drove down to the Divide for a walk up to Key Summit and beyond.
It was a lovely walk up through the trees and then out in to the open to get mountain views all around. We walked in beyond the Key Summit view point - where many stopped and turned back. We were treated to a peaceful walk and time to enjoy our surroundings. It was quite chilly up there , despite the sunshine.
On the way down we were still in our warm clothes as others had set off up in shorts and t-shirts.
From there we headed back up the Milford Highway to Te Anau again and found a campsite for the night. I found that I had strained some muscles in my leg so hobbled round for the evening, very annoying!
