Bodyguards in orange jackets

Today I walked:

1. From my house to Continis on George Street for the relaunch of the Edinburgh Coffee Morning. Two very tall, orange-jacketed men, both called Jon M, accompanied me into the restaurant (blipped).
2. From Continis to the gym for my pilates class, a run on the treadmill, a few lengths of the pool, and a lot of chat in the hot tub with Ali F, Ali C, Raj, and Jan.
3. From the gym to my house. En route I spotted that a sapphire had fallen out of Topsie's ring <sob!>
4. From my house to LIDL to return a (possibly diseased) banana, John Lewis to order a sofa, and the jeweller to put the ring in for repair.
5. From the jeweller back home again.
6. From my house to the Festival Theatre for an evening with Mary Chapin Carpenter, Julie Fowlis, and Karine Polwart - and my gym friend Ali C.
7. From the theatre back home again. 

Exercise today: pilates, treadmill run (30 minute intervals), swim (16 lengths), walking (32,186 steps including run).
