An afternoon with Lili

We’re looking after Lili today while mum goes out for a well-deserved lunch with friends. Lili is full of life, her rather grubby chicken-drumstick bandage almost forgotten. It’s amazing how well she’s coping - and we can see just why the surgeon has left her tiny thumb out from the dressing as she’s using it to pick things up with her bandaged hand.

Lili’s range of expressions is - as always - wonderful, and now quite a few teeth have come through there’s even more variety! She’s constantly busy, walking back and forth to her shelves of toys and books, bringing story after story for us to read to her. It’s good to see all the old favourites - The Very Hungry Caterpillar, The Tiger who came for Tea, The Gruffalo …..

We bought her a mini percussion set for Christmas - at her parents request I might add - and she enjoys playing with that, particularly replacing the parts in the base, and she’s really quite skilled at dribbling her little football.  She’s such a bundle of fun and energy!

So there are lots of Lili snaps this afternoon - she really loves the camera! Please excuse the number of extras - I just can’t decide what to post!
