Catkins

Today it’s our monthly lunch meet with an old friend, followed by a woodland walk. These sunny spring days are just so beautiful! 

These catkins catch my eye with their tiny pink ‘flowers’ behind the yellow strands. I think this is an alder tree - but I’m open to correction! 

Thanks so much for all your kind comments in relation to my camera club woes! I think so much of it is choosing the ‘wrong’ photo for a competition - both of mine were misty shots and were criticised for lack of sharpness. And of course, it’s just one opinion!
