Borrowed Boy

After being so tired last night I had a great night's sleep, didn't wake till after 7.  Then it was over to HK for roti canai for breakfast and the some Granny duty in the 15 minute interlude between WH going to work and #1 son returning home from running up Bukit Kiara.

Next on the agenda was back to GK for the new microwave, which like replacement #1 didn't fit.  A new plan is being thought up, involving just buying a microwave that will fit in the gap.

Then it was back to HK.  I got bonus time with the kids today.  Normally on a Saturday they are out till mid afternoon as Amelia has gymnastics but as WH was working there was no gymnastics this morning so I spent till almost 2 in the pool with the girls and #1 son.  It was sunny and hot.

This was followed by atrip to Jay and then I read Val McDermid while the girls played.  WH came back after 3 and when they went shopping for tomorrow's birthday I came back to GK.  It had just started raining.  We then had the most humongous storm; thunder, lightning and heavy, heavy rain.  So heavy the lobby flooded, almost to my door.  And I slipped when I went out to see what was happening.  At one point there was no visibility at all and it looked like cars on the Penchala Link had stopped. It was over 2 hours before it ended.

Then it was time to get ready to go out for dinner with S and #2 son.  S drove us into KL, to below the KL Tower.  The main event was to meet S and J, although S is known to me as Boy, Dogwithnobrain's Boy.  There is a long story about how our sons met during Covid, nothing to do with their mothers, but this was the first time I'd met S and J in person and it was delightful.  We had a great evening in the Mexican influenced restaurant owned by friends of #2 son along with J and his girlfriend M.  Much food was consumed and laughter shared.   The extra is of the group.

Then it wa sout into the warm evening to look up at theKL Tower (extra) before getting a lift back to GK with S.  The others have headed off to watch the rugby.  I'm headed to bed.

A good day.
