The window display

My hiking group..we call ourselves the Get Outsiders!...had a 4 mile walk along the streets of Columbia today.   The reason was a street art festival that was held in the yards of houses along a designated area of older and some historic homes.  The traffic was blocked off so we did not have to deal with avoiding cars.     

There was painting, pottery, jewelry, textiles, blacksmithing art and wood art.   Nothing purchases except lunch.  

I did take the Canon SL1 today (and no phone photos were taken!).   It felt strange to use the camera but I think I will start taking it on the walks as I definitely get better compositions.     This was my favorite photo today and it was one of the first I snapped as we walked to the exhibit areas.

A few other "arty" things in the extra.   I do love the idea of making flowers out of old jewelry!
