A DRIVE OUT AFTER CHURCH ON A SUNNY SUNDAY
We had a great service at Church, after having breakfast together - and you can see some of the shots I took at Church in my extra collage. These include shoes, flowers, one of our little ones who didn’t want to stay sitting on her Mum’s lap, and last but not least, a new banner, which shows the verse that I coloured in last week, whilst at home, but which has obviously been made from petals cut out by various people during the service, including Mr. HCB, with the verse embroidered on it too! We are so fortunate to have people in our Church who have great sewing skills and make such wonderful banners to make our Church look beautiful.
After the service, it was such a beautiful day, and as we haven’t been out for a drive for months now, Mr. HCB suggested we go to one of our favourite spots at Eastridge, so off we went. It is a very peaceful place and we really enjoyed being out in the fresh air and sunshine. In some places, there was quite a breeze blowing, but then we stopped, got out of the car and walked for a while, and it was really warm. We were pleased to see snowdrops, primroses, catkins, holly, which even had some red berries, celandines and a derelict tree with a tiny blue tit creeping up the trunk. It was such a joy to be out together and it did us good, after not feeling too well for the last couple of weeks.
We then came back through Baydon, and stopped at one of our favourite places looking out over the North Wessex Downs, where I really like this tree, in the centre of my collage, which is unashamedly curvy! Perhaps I should aspire to be like that tree!
Hope you all have a great week - we are being told it is going to get colder again, but Mr. HCB says there is no rain promised, so he wants to get out and cut the lawn in the next couple of days. I think it will do him good to do some physical work and I know how much he enjoys it, so here’s hoping.
