Further progress with the quilt

This is the quilt that I started last November, here it is at the design stage and at the almost-finished quilt stop stage (the patchwork top layer). I've now finished the borders and at today's workshop we did layering - pinning the quilt top to the wadding and the backing fabric. Spot the safety pins! It was good to do that in the studio as I would have been hard-pressed to find space in my flat. I now need to do the quilting - sewing all three layers together - before going on to do the border in the next workshop in two weeks' time.
