Rasta
My FIL used to tie his own flies for fishing and this is just one of probably 100 that my husband now has. My FIL had very large hands and was hampered with arthritis in his later years, but he continued to tie flies as long as he could - it always used to amaze me that he could manage all the fiddly bits of these tiny creations. Anyway, I particularly like this one as it looks like some sort of rasta fly to me, or perhaps one straight out of the 60's? I love the crazy googly eyes and all the sparkly feathers and textures.
Had a great FT with my parents this morning. They are considering their next move - it is such a difficult decision and one that only they can make. I just want them to be happy and safe.
Sunny again today but quite windy again. Tomorrow looks like it's going to be spectacular so I will probably spend some time snooping around the garden for insects. I'm itchy to get back to some macro photography.
Hubs had akido this morning and then he drove about an hour south of here to have lunch with a friend. Nice day for a drive and he had a good visit with his friend.
