Sarg, over here....

Every murder mystery needs a footprint.

Woke at 5.20am..How can that be??? I did'nt get to bed until 00.40am. I was awake. Opened the bedroom window wide to hear the dawn chorus, made coffee, Sat in bed & read my book for a half hour. Breakfast, crossword, made a shopping list. Rang Torbay hospital at 8.30 to check details for J's Thursday apt. Rang the R, D, & E hospital to check on J. Spoke to nurse on the ward. Need to call back after the consultants have done their rounds, midday onwards.

Mum's new hairbrush plus both pairs of spectacles gone walkabout. Got Mum dressed properly, made her breakfast, walked Indie. She flushed out a couple of pheasant on the heath. Passed a twitcher, enquired whether he had spotted anything interesting. No. Found a lovely piece of dead heather which I brought home. Still looking for the spectacles & brush. Found eventually. We laughed.. Well you've got to. We spent a while on the current jigsaw while lunch was cooking.
Mum had Coop southern fried chicken fillet, oven chips, corn on the cob & coleslaw, followed by rice pudding with a dollop of strawberry conserve. Washed down with apple juice. Loved every mouthful. She has a very healthy appetite. Love her!
Put the bins out for tomorrow's refuse collection.
In-house "continental" pant training session... Then back home.
Rang the hospital, spoke to J, spoke to nurse. CT abdominal scan? He went in with breathing problems. Investigating distended abdomen..
Peanut butter on toast then I cut the grass, once out in the garden, I attacked the border, ripping out the ivy that is running riot. Shirley, a neighbour stopped for a chat, she needed a witness to her amended will. She fetched it, I signed it. Job done. A very enlightening conversation followed... Well!
I carried on ripping out ivy, stopped at 4.45pm. Packed the lawn mower etc. away. Cider o'clock beckons.

No Heartbeat tonight...
