Green Alkanet

I had a good sleep, and my hip definitely feels like it is improving. I’m still walking oddly, but hopefully things will improve. I had a quiet morning, pottering around the house, doing a few chores.

Late morning I headed out down town, taking a detour by the river. It’s been a glorious day, definitely spring, almost like summer. It really lifts the spirits. I got home in to find that TT had prepped lunch. Shortly after he went off to catch a bus to Edinburgh as he was off to the Scotland, Wales game. I rested my hip, sat in the sunshine, read my book, and continued to enjoy my bargain flowers. Later in the afternoon, I risked another wee walk.
I was quite engrossed in my book, so didn’t see much if the rugby. I also had to head off to catch a bus to Edinburgh before the game ended. Thankfully there was a win for Scotland!

I met up with TT and a group of friends for a couple of drinks in an Edinburgh hostelry, before going for an Indian meal. We had a good catch up and a lovely evening, but it all felt rather rushed, as TT and I had to rush off for our last bus home.

I spotted the blue flower of green alkanet in St Mary’s Pleasance.
