Dolly's Day

LEFT BEHIND

The lovely weather we had yesterday didn't continue today.  Its been dull, cold and windy.

I collected a few items of crockery together to take to the charity shop.... and then I wondered if my brother Colin would like them.  I messaged him and he replied saying he would be grateful for them.  He said that due to his poor eyesight he's very clumsy and he breaks a lot of crockery. ( I remember when he stayed with me a few years ago there were a few breakages ). Anyway I'm going to see if there is any more stuff in my kitchen cupboards he could have.  If he needs it its better giving it to him than the charity shop.

I had a wander down to the village this afternoon.  Tesco was open after being closed for repairs for 3 weeks. I'm glad its open again as its been a big miss  .Every customer said as much to the lady on the checkout.

Got my blip shot on the way home. The Mono Monday theme is " left behind ".  I spotted this water bottle which must have been left behind by one of the footballers who played yesterday on the Glebe field. Thanks to gillyh and LesleyAlsford for hosting.

Newcastle had an away game this evening against West Ham.  I managed to watch it on my laptop.  Newcastle had a shaky start and almost let West Ham get an early goal.  Neither team played really well but Newcastle's captain Bruno Guimarães scored in the 63rd min to make the final score West Ham 0 Newcastle 1.  A vital 3 points for The Toon.
