Busy day.

I was needing a spare cable for a new external hard drive I bought recently. It came with one but I’d run out of suitable ports on the back of the iMac27. I rang a friend for a cable and he asked what sort, mini or micro, A B or C, 1 2 or 3 or normal, hdmi, connector or converter etc etc. It was then I realised I didn’t really know what I was talking about! He sent me a file to read. One or two of you might find it useful?
