Pink puddle of petals
I found this magnolia in a place called ‘Sea Road’ in Carlyon Bay. There were not many blossoms left but I liked the puddle of petals on the ground.
Yesterday I spent a lot of time on the phone to Cornwall’s only main hospital, looking for a ‘renal secretary’! The lady on Reception tried phoning three different secretaries - ringing out and unanswered, before the fourth person she tried answered their phone! She said a renal consultant would ring me tomorrow (now today) between 10.30 and 12.30.
But the call came at 8.45! My brain wasn’t totally in gear! But the consultant actually admitted that no one had been monitoring my blood test results which is why nothing has been done! He will put me in touch with a dietician and give me a clinic appointment in two weeks. I told him if my feeling of weakness and breathlessness and that I had asked my GP for iron pills. He agreed I was now anaemic, probably as a result of kidney damage. I also said I had discontinued a ‘new’ blood pressure pill that the hospital had prescribed and he agreed that this was OK.. Albd he said I could reduce my remaining bo pill from 10mg to 5mg. So at last I am getting somewhere!
