Threatening

The weather is so unpredictable. I set out for my walk in bright sunshine and lightweight clothing, and ended up making it home just in time to beat the rain. It turned out to be just a few drops, and it was sunny again ten minutes later.

We took the car back to the garage this morning, as the warning light was still permanently on, and it seemed to have sprung a small leak as well. Michel poked around under the bonnet and managed to find the culprit for the warning light -- a faulty hose clip. At least that's sorted now. There was however visibly an oil leak, so we left it with him to order and fit a new washer. Fingers crossed!

Since we were halfway there we carried on to the market in Bruno, although we hadn't planned to. It was fairly quiet, but our favourite cheesemonger was there after a few weeks' absence -- yay! We also bought the ingredients for pintade aux choux, before heading home to beat the rain.

In the afternoon I fiddled with my blog email problem and managed to find a solution, so hopefully there will be no more lost comments. I also started a couple of loaves with my revived sourdough starter. Gym this evening was effective. And now we have the fire lit, admittedly with 90% cardboard as the last bit of wood has just gone in.
