Quiet day

Enjoyed a nice cooked breakfast with our son and his wife before they had to head home. Our son spent last week working in London so they had done household chores to catch up on.

After they headed off, I took Phin back to Newbattle for a slightly longer walk than we had managed yesterday before spending the afternoon trying to get to grips with a knitted monster using circular needles. It took many many attempts before something cliched and I got beyond the first two rows!

After a pot luck dinner using some of the leftover pilaf baked with various veg from the fridge and some baby tomatoes (it was surprisingly tasty), I joined a zoom call on fundraising ideas organised by a central team within Rotary. Some good ideas and plenty to think about.
