Birthday Treat

It’s my mum’s birthday today and we went over to Oxford for dinner at Brasserie Blanc in Jericho.
Obviously it should be a photo of mum on her birthday, or all of us together but we’re rubbish at taking photos at these things so this is the only photo I have! It was taken from our parking spot. Free on-street parking round there is like gold dust and we were lucky. Otherwise it’s something ridiculous like £12 an hour at the meters. Whoop whoop!
I can’t believe we’ve never been before, it was fabulous!!!! Gorgeous decor, delicious food. - chicken and pommes mousseline (mash!) in a mustard sauce for me and mum, moules mariniere and frites for Miss L, pork chop and potato dauphinoise for Miss E, roast cod for my dad, and, less French than the rest of us, a burger for Mr K!!! All absolutely delicious!!
And some lovely amaretto sours and espresso martinis to start!!! Along with complimentary Prosecco for the adults. I don’t like it so gave it to mum who loves it. She knew she’d had two glasses!!
It was a really lovely evening!
The rest of the day was a usual Monday. I failed to get up early enough to do my not-yet-habitual workout, went to work, took Archie out for a walk, wrapped eBay parcels, listed things on eBay, went shopping and did two loads of laundry!
