The Mousetrap
No spoilers here, don’t worry!
Miss K and I have been saying we must go and see The Mousetrap for years, then it took a few more years to get round to booking it. But today was the day, whoop whoop!
As usual we booked the matinee so we could have time to do something beforehand.
Miss K came to me first thing and we headed for the train at Milton Keynes. As luck would have it, there was a train within minutes and we were off.
We walked from Euston to Seven Dials (just for a change!!!) then carried on through Chinatown, Leicester Square and Trafalgar Square to cross the river at Hungerford Bridge. Then a much needed cup of tea at the National Theatre.
My feet were a bit sore by then!
We were going to have some lunch there but it was seven thousand pounds for a sandwich so we headed back up to Soho to wander aimlessly trying to decide what to eat. So much choice is never good!!
We plumped for Five Guys in the end which was a treat after weeks of healthy eating! I was so full though. Could hardly drag myself to Tesco Express for the peanut M&Ms!!!!!
Then it was to the theatre!
I LOVED it!! Proper old fashioned Agatha Christie.
Miss K guessed who dunnit, I thought I knew but I was wrong!
At the end when the cast takes a bow one of them asks us to maintain the tradition and not tell anyone who the murderer is.
I’m part of the club now!!!!!
It was a bit weird heading out of the theatre and it still being daylight!
We had a mooch round Covent Garden then retraced our steps back to Euston. I love that walk!!
22,000 steps in all.
And I know who did it!!!!!!
